the truth?

perhaps a joint hallucination inspired by

residual energies of patients from years before;

manifesting a creature from traces of pain

or simply manifesting the possibility of a creature,

one that was given life by us

when we uttered it's name...
 
 

perhaps a simple paranoia and panic-induced hallucination

as those new sounds of movement and breathing from

behind the plastic strips of the curtain

cause our blood to freeze
